Dr. Debasis Bhattacharya (Debāśiṣ Bhaṭṭāchārya, দেবাশীষ ভট্টাচার্য, देवाशीष भट्टाचार्य) is a tenured Professor at the University of Hawai’i Maui College, where he also serves as the Program Coordinator for the Applied Business and Information Technology Baccalaureate Program. With over thirty-five years of combined expertise in the technology industry and higher education, Dr. Bhattacharya’s career has included significant roles at leading technology firms, such as Oracle and Microsoft, over fifteen years.Dr. Bhattacharya holds academic degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Columbia University, the University of Phoenix, and the Northwestern California University School of Law. His research interests are diverse and interdisciplinary, encompassing areas like computer science education, cybersecurity, cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and artificial intelligence.
