About me
Charles is Head of Computing at the University of Roehampton (London). He is a co-founder of CSE Connect, a government funded national and international cyber security education network.As a cyber security education specialist, he regularly presents at national and international events. He also serves as a panel assessor for the National Cyber Security Centre's (NCSC, part of GCHQ) certified cyber security degrees programme. In addition, he chairs the Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE) awarding panel on behalf of the NCSC.
Prior to academia, Charles worked extensively in the IT industry; in technician, engineering, senior management and directorship roles. Previous work experience has included full-time and consulting posts at numerous organisations; examples of which include Wireless Knowledge (San Diego), Microsoft (Seattle), Smartone (Hong Kong), AIOC Corporation (Beijing, Cologne, Amsterdam, New York, Zug), BT Labs (Martlesham), Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan and SHL SystemHouse (London).
