About me
I am a graduate student attending California State University, San Bernardino pursuing my Masters degree in Information Systems & Technology, concentrated in Cybersecurity. Currently, I am employed by the CAE in Cybersecurity Community National Center where I have gained experience in advanced AI research and development, website development, developing and maintaining a database in PostgreSQL, managing a customer relationship manager with over 12,000 contacts, and have assisted in overseeing the organization's asset management duties. My experience working for the community has fueled my passion for policy development, incident response, and cybersecurity management. Although this will be my fifth year collegiately studying cybersecurity it has been a passion of mine outside of school that has allowed me to develop skills such as networking, penetration testing and cybersecurity management. This has been achieved through platforms such as Testout where I have received both the Networking and Routing Pro and Security Pro certifications, along with CompTIA where I have been pursuing my Security+ and Network+ certification. Websites such as HackTheBox and TryHackMe have been instrumental in developing my cybersecurity skills through activities like capture the flag. I have also taken part in extracurricular activities at CSUSB such as the Coyote Mentorship Program which allowed students to meet as a group with a mentor every week for guidance in our interested topics, my experience allowing me to further my knowledge in cybersecurity policy and how incident response works. The expansion of my understanding of cybersecurity as a whole is important to me and I look forward to developing new skills whilst applying the ones I currently have for this project.
