I have been interested in the topic of neurodiversity since my time at Cyber Security Challenge UK as their CyberCenturion and Inclusion lead. I was instrumental in building and coordinating the UK first’s Extended Project Qualification in Cyber Security qualification, currently sitting with the Chartered Institute of Information Security.
I project managed the first industry wide collaborative event,
Neurodiversity: Autism into Cyber, an initiative that galvanized the cyber industry leading to the formation of NeuroCyber, of which I am Director. I received a formal diagnosis of ADHD in December 2022.
I am a member of ISC2 Global DEI Advisory Council and have recently reviewed their ISC2 Inclusion Impact Award applications for 2025.
I am Co-Director for International and Business Outreach Programme [IBOP] which sits with CSE Connect, a national cyber security education network, committed to advancing cyber security education in the UK where my input is as the UK Co-chair of the Inclusion special interest group. The International Cybersecurity Education Collaborative (ICEC) is a collaborative network established between UK and US cyber security educators, in partnership with the US Federally funded, National Cybersecurity Training and Education Center (
NCyTE). This exciting programme aims to build further collaboration with like-minded countries
.I seek out those connections with inclusive grass root networks, amplifying the people behind them and the work they do, to build the understanding we already have, that those with the skillset or aptitude, if supported properly into cyber roles, will create better working environments for their colleagues, add innovation to their department and products, and create wealth for the companies they work for. This isn't rocket science or new theory.
